Search Clackamas County Court Records

OJCIN is useful for register detail, but it does not make every Clackamas County court document a free public download.
Clackamas County Court Record Types
Clackamas County Circuit Court is the main state trial court for felony criminal cases, civil cases, domestic relations, probate, juvenile matters, protective orders, and some traffic or violation matters filed at the circuit-court level. For federal opinions and some RECAP docket material, CourtListener is a non-government legal reference cited in the research, but official Clackamas County court records come from OJD, the local court, or the correct federal court system.

Clackamas County Court Records Access
Oregon law supports public access, but the access rule depends on the record custodian. ORS 7.020 is central for circuit-court registers because it requires circuit courts to keep a register of court actions. ORS chapter 192 governs many public records held by executive and county agencies, but it does not turn every judicial case file into a county agency record. Court records, sheriff records, county clerk recordings, and agency files follow different request paths.
A public portal result is not a certified copy. Certified court documents must come from the Clackamas County Circuit Court records office or another official court custodian. Clackamas County Court Copy Requests
When online access does not show the needed document, use the Clackamas County Circuit Court records office for case copies and certifications. The court is the proper custodian for Circuit Court case files. Bring or provide the case number, party names, case type, filing year, and the exact document requested. Older cases, sealed matters, or restricted documents may take more review than a simple public register search.
